Commuting by Thomas Typewriter

poetry

I was born to fly

Is a phrase married to

Why can’t I move

Building homes in the small spaces

Where headlamps kiss brakelights

sunkissed danish

Holding large parties where

More cars join the turtle dance

Of stop, stop, go

“Dear Death…” – a new poem by Thomas Typewriter

poetry

Please Death, give my parents one more day.

They’ve yet to apologize.

They’ve yet to change.

Do not take them away until

I hear new things said

Give them one more day

As many as it takes

I don’t mind the wait.
